Denville, New Jersey (PRWEB) June 1, 2009

On the blog "Bo The First Puppy-In Bones We Trust," a fictional Bo barks his support to raise money and awareness for the National Canine Cancer Foundation. Bo's blog is at http://bothefirstpuppy. wordpress. com (http://bothefirstpuppy. wordpress. com). The fictional First Pet also has a Twitter account.

"I know you people things get cancer," Bo The First Puppy barked, "And it is very devastating. But did you know one out of every three dogs gets cancer? My four-legged friends need help, too," he added.

The National Canine Cancer Foundation is a national non-profit corporation dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health issue for dogs. The organization funds grants to cancer researchers who are working to save lives, find cures, and devise better treatments and accurate, cost effective diagnostic methods in dealing with canine cancer.

Bo, the First Puppy of the United States, barks blogs about his family life, raising donations and awareness for his favorite charity, the National Canine Cancer Association, and his new role as Spokes Dog for Obama Watches.

The nation's First Puppy was quick to point out that he is not officially associated with the resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. "Oh, no, but I know all about Top Dog. I've seen him on that box," Bo yelped.

"I also don't work directly for the National Canine Cancer Foundation. You know, I'm just a puppy dog trying to help."

Bo has come up with a dog-gone clever way to raise money for the National Canine Cancer Foundation. He's selling watches with his picture on it.

"For only $45, you people things can buy a BO THE FIRST PUPPY watch. It has my picture on it and two pink paws to signify my support for the National Canine Cancer Foundation, " Bo barked. "The watch also has my catch phrase: 'In Bones We Trust.'"

Ten percent of the profit from the sale of BO THE FIRST PUPPY watches will be donated to the National Canine Cancer Foundation.

"Even if you don't fetch a watch, I hope you'll send a donation to help rid the world of canine cancer," Bo woofed. "Their Web site is so easy to remember. It is wearethecure. com."

In the interest of transparency, Bo revealed he has pawed an agreement to become the Official Spokes Dog for Obama Watches, a Web site (www. obamawatches. com) that launched a viral campaign supporting Barack Obama's candidacy in the 2008 election.

Obama watches carry phrases like "America, It's Time for a Change," "Yes We Can," and "Love your Mama. Vote Obama."

Three Obama watches are in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History.

During the campaign, Obama watches were given to teachers, students, bus drivers, Obama campaign workers, and a host of "A List" celebrities and politicians, including Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Terry McAuliffe, Hillary Clinton's campaign Manager, and Craig Newmark, founder of Craigslist. They were all asked to spread the word that it was "Time for a Change."

A member of the Democratic Party asked Jack Goldenberg, President, Obama Watches, to give an Obama watch to then-Senator Barack Obama at a private fundraiser in Philadelphia. But an alert Secret Service Agent grabbed the watches out of Goldenberg's hands and whisked them away. The watches were inspected, deemed harmless and given to an Obama aide.

On the blog "Bo The First Puppy-In Bones We Trust," the fictional Bo declared that raising money and awareness for the Canine Cancer Foundation has become my pet project. You know, he added, "If we all work together, we are the cure."

Then Bo, America's First Puppy closed his eyes, took a dog nap and dreamt of cats. The musical, not the animal.
