Sport Fit Bowie has many junior tennis opportunities. At the highest level of performance is the ACE Junior Tennis Academy. The ACE players have had another great year and the program and it's achievements are listed.

"It's no longer a quiet success," said Rozzell Lightfoot while discussing his ACE Junior Tennis Program at Sport Fit Bowie. Coach Rozzell is the Head Pro for the Junior Academy located directly east, just outside the Washington, D. C. Beltway in Bowie, Maryland. He has developed the program over the last 4 years at Sport Fit and the players' performance is speaking volumes about the success of the approach that the coaches are taking.



Rozzell also is known as a coach that watches the players in their tournament matches and travels extensively. He's also one of the first High Performance Coaches certified by the United States Tennis Association (USTA). Rozzell Lightfoot is a former top ranked player from the Mid-Atlantic area and the former #1 player for Hampton University.



Having worked to develop players from 4 year olds into collegiate competitors, Rozzell is familiar with the developmental process and when to focus on performance and when to focus on results, and how to keep it all in perspective. His group's "quiet success" is bringing more and more of the serious competitors from the area to Sport Fit Bowie and the ACE Junior Tennis Academy.



Julien Delaine was a top-ranked Junior and College Player. He has worked closely with Rozzell for 15 years at Washington Tennis Foundation, Mount Vernon College, Bethesda Sport and Health and now as a partner at Sport Fit Bowie. Julien's patience and diligence is a key factor in developing young talent and molding the young player as they progress through the levels. He also works closely with disadvantaged youth as a mentor and father figure.



Damiisa Robinson has recently joined the staff and has added youth and recent player experience to the equation. Damiisa is a former student of Rozzell's from the Washington Tennis Foundation, and former scholarship player at Clemson University. He attained an ATP world ranking in singles and was also a practice partner for Shenay Perry (top 50 in the world and Fed Cup Team member). Finding difficulty funding his efforts through sponsorships, he has decided to give back to the kids and pursue his music career.



Mac James (conducts Sport Fit Boot Camps) and Mark Shields (Asst. Fitness Director) are Sport Fit Bowie Certified Trainers that help with the fitness component of the Ace Academy. They incorporate sport-specific conditioning, along with agility and strength training, to enhance each player's performance.



Sport Fit's Director of Tennis, Kevin McClure also has a background working with top junior players. A former #1 player for the University of Richmond, Kevin has been a Director of Tennis or Head Pro for over 20 years. He was also the Head Pro for the Advanced Training Center (now refered to as the Competitive Training Centers - CTC) for Northern Virginia and Washington, D. C. Additionally, Kevin took his McLean High School Boys and Girls Teams to their first District Championships in recorded history! "I'm pleased to have someone of Rozzell's background and track record orchestrating the ACE Academy at Sport Fit Bowie", Mr. McClure said.



Sport Fit has junior development programs that range from beginners through advanced. The ACE Academy is where the strongest athletes, the best performers in their age group and the children of truly committed families go for their training (a strong consistent program requires a commitment of time and money). Players just getting started, developing more slowly or just interested in getting exposed to tennis will usually start in the regular Junior Program. Often, if a player excels, they will be offered an opportunity to join the ACE Academy program for advanced players.

Mastitis, inflammation of the udder in dairy cows, can be caused by infection or trauma and is estimated to cost the dairy industry as much as $3billion per year in the USA alone. With some degree of mastitis present in 25-40% of dairy cattle at any given time, mastitis is the number one disease in dairy cattle in terms of cost and lost production and is a major problem world-wide.



What makes the new Tridelta test unique and a source of great interest in the dairy world, is the fact that it is a predictive test for mastitis: that is, it can tell the farmer that a cow has a problem even before it becomes clinically detectable by current methods. Not only can the new Tridelta test diagnose the cow before it becomes ill, it can even pin-point which of the four quarters of the cow’s udder is causing the problem, allowing early, specific treatment of the animal and a rapid return to productivity. All of this without even the need for a blood sample: the new test is carried out simply using a few drops of milk.



The patented technology is based on Tridelta’s “Phase Range” assay for the Acute Phase Protein SAA (Serum Amyloid A). The research has discovered what is thought to be, a unique form of this protein which is produced in the breasts of lactating mammals.

Medisend can now ship valuable biomedical equipment in good working condition to medical facilities in developing countries worldwide thanks to a new biomedical repair lab.

MediSend has opened a state-of-the art biomedical repair laboratory in their North Dallas headquarters. The large, well-equipped laboratory, funded by the ExxonMobil Foundation, has the capacity to repair and refurbish the biomedical equipment that MediSend ships to vulnerable populations worldwide, and also serves as a training facility where biomedical repair engineering students obtain first-hand experience working with complicated biomedical equipment. The laboratory's operations are completely wireless and use Fluke Biomedical diagnostic tools and repair equipment, along with Four Rivers asset management software.



"It is a natural extension of our operations to have the capability of repairing the biomedical equipment," says Nick Hallack, President and CEO of MediSend. Nationwide job board Insourced, which celebrated its one-year anniversary on Labor Day, has recently added job listing number 200,000 to its job search application.

Insourced, a nationwide job board and employment portal for job seekers, employers and recruiters, has recently added the 200,000th job listing to its proprietary job search application. The jobs listings (http://www. insourced. com) are provided both from free employer postings and from crawled content.



Unlike most vertical job search engines, the Insourced job search application includes jobs only from primary sources and direct hiring agents and never includes job listings from secondary job sources or other job boards. All job postings are free for employers, staffing agencies and recruiters, and job seekers have direct access to the hiring contacts for each job listing in the Insourced jobs database.



According to Michael Wist, Director of Content for Insourced, "We're pleased to have reached this threshold so early in our application's development. We're also happy with the job crawling process and at the response we've received from employers who are posting jobs to our system." The jobs currently in the Insourced database are refreshed daily and have been compiled from over 800 employers, roughly 200 of which have signed on with Insourced to post jobs directly to the system. The Insourced job board allows employers to post jobs individually or to upload them in bulk via a proprietary XML format that offers a great deal of flexibility.



Despite the validation that has come from the number of jobs that have quickly been posted to Insourced, and the overwhelming response received from employers posting jobs, the focus of Insourced remains on posting only quality job listings. "I'm currently culling through posted jobs manually on a regular basis, removing those that are flagrant abuses of our system and all jobs that are of questionable value," notes Wist.



Matt Blevins, Director of Marketing for Insourced, goes on to say that "We need to strike a balance between job seekers and employers, of course, but we've always stated that our primary goal is to keep our job search (http://www. insourced. com) application free of illegitimate jobs and scams. 2007 statistics show U. S. life and health operating results holding strong, while U. S. property and casualty industry on pace to achieve a net profit

SNL Financial's newly released statutory insurance data shows that life and health insurance companies are on track for a strong 2007, while property and casualty insurance companies remain in the black.



According to SNL statistics, the U. S. life industry earned $28.0 billion in the first nine months of 2007, up from $26.0 billion a year ago. The health industry exhibited similar strength, with earnings coming in at $9.3 billion, up from $9.1 billion a year ago.



The U. S. P&C industry earned $48.9 billion through the first three quarters of 2007, down slightly from $49.5 billion in the year-ago period but still on pace to achieve a net underwriting profit for the third time in the last seven years. This is primarily due to reduced catastrophic losses: the California fire damage estimates were relatively low due to exclusions of housing built in windstorm areas and the hurricane season was considered minor.



SNL expects to make full-year 2007 data available in March 2008.



Thanks to an agreement with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, SNL now publishes statutory data that includes annual, quarterly and state level data, loss reserve data (Schedule P), and investment and reinsurance detail. SNL also calculates group and industry data, numerous ratios, and provides market share and loss reserve analysis.
